Scooter Training 3 75 mins Dogs need be over 30 lbs and have basic obedience training including Sit, Come, Down, and Stay. This will be a 3 week class to help you get started scootering your dog for fun and exercise. All you need for this class is: 1 Medium- Large sized dog and the desire to have a fun way to exercise Bozo. I will provide scooters, harnesses and ganglines for those who are just interested in seeing what it is all about. If you have your own equipment that is great, but it is not necessary to have equipment to take the class. We will talk about the benefits of scootering your dog ( A controlled even trot on natural surface is fabulous for dogs of all ages.) ,getting your dog used to trotting out ahead with something behind it, pulling, and a few training techniques for basic scootering. We will also discuss basic equipment and where to purchase it if you decide you really like to scooter your dog. We will eventually go to a local park to try some real scootering with your dog. We will meet inside on the first day, but most of this class will take place outdoor
Introduction to Retriever Training 6 55 mins Basic training such as a Puppy or Basic obedience class. This class will focus on getting your dog started on the training needed for retriever field work, including basic retrieving, controlled walking, recalls, and sit stays. Though it will be an entry level class for handlers with little to no retriever training, more experienced handlers are welcome. We will also discuss test mechanics. I hope to be doing some work with dead birds by the end of the course. If you don't already own field training equipment, such as a whistle and bumpers, expect to be doing some shopping before the class starts.
