We are in the process of updating the method by which we accept credit cards on the website. Please note that with this change, your credit card information will be confirmed and charged at class sign-up time, vs. the "sometime in the future manual processing" that we have done since we started accepting credit cards.

Our Puppy Kindergarten classes run throughout the year. We hold classes at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Mondays. The next class in a given time slot will usually begin the week after the current class ends (major holidays excluded). We typically post the dates for the next class shortly after the 3rd week of the current class.

All puppy classes are held in the small building at the front of the NDT site. The location varies for the Jumpstart classes. Check the "notes" for the class you're interested in.

To download a PDF with a flowchart of recommended obedience and agility training classes, see Class Flowchart.

Teach obedience commands (come, sit, down, stay, basic controlled walking) and socialize your puppy (puppies get to play with each other during class, how many weeks depends on the makeup of each class) Discussion topics include spaying and neutering, how to handle children and puppies, multi pet households and solving chewing, housebreaking and jumping problems. Please check with your vet as some vets recommend the young puppies to have had the second in the series of distemper vaccinations before attending a group training class but some are fine with them attending after the initial vaccine depending on age, breed and other factors. Children are welcome, in PK class if under 7 the child must have a dedicated adult with them, plan on bringing some quiet toys in case they get bored. Children must be seated during the loose play time and please ask owners permission before petting other puppies.

Puppy must be between 10 weeks and 4 months old when the class begins. If you have a larger breed puppy the younger you can start the better! Please email with questions.
