We are requiring ALL students and our staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be able to come to an in-person class. Students must show their card to a staff member BEFORE entering the building for their first class.
We have lifted our masking requirement, at least for now, but you may certainly continue to wear one.

All obedience classes are held in the north end of the big building at the rear of the NDT site.
The classes are listed in the approximate sequence we recommend you follow.

Fundemantals of Comp Obed On-Line - Working
Fundemantals of Comp Obed On-Line - WorkingHybrid FCOOL (Fundamentals of Competition Obedience On-Line) is a hybrid competition obedience course, with on-line instructional videos and downloadable handouts and a once-a-week in-person class. This class is geared toward puppies with some basic training and trainers who are interested in training for obedience and Rally titles. In the course, you will learn how to begin teaching a wide variety of crucial skills for competition-bound puppies. These include different techniques for training with food; attention, position changes (sit, down, stand), cookie-toss recalls, beginning sit stay, perch and platform work, beginning target work, beginning retrieve work, and general handling for grooming and veterinary care. All the video lessons are hosted on the Thinkific platform. A working spot in the course gives you a chance to get feedback from Adele during the in-person class meetings, scheduled every week. In addition to the 6 weeks of in-person classes, you will have full access to all of the course video lessons for a full 6 months from when you start the lessons. The expectation is that you will watch the lesson videos, practice them at home, and then come to class to get feedback on your progress from Adele. Prerequisites Puppy Kindergarten or Jumpstart class or something equivalent, and a desire to improve your training skills beyond the basic level. |

Rally Practice
Rally PracticeThere will potentially be class every week Adele is in town. She will set up a nested course with levels appropriate for those in attendance for a given week. This is not an introductory type of course, but for those trainers with at least some rally experience who want a chance to practice courses with coaching. Typically, I follow each person through the course on the first run, offering suggestions for how to better perform a station (or more correctly). Because of the set up involved, I need a commitment each week from at LEAST 3 people for me to hold a class in a given week. In order to communicate with potential attendees, I have set up a Facebook group where we can communicate about attendance. If you are interested in attending and would like to be added to the Facebook group, or If you are not on Facebook but are interested in attending, please email me privately. abyunck@gmail.com Prerequisites Knowledge of the AKC rally signs at the level of course you are interested in. |
