A note about Filled classes. Occasionally, someone drops out of a class, so we maintain waiting lists for filled classes. Your check reserves your space in a class or on a waiting list.

The classes are listed in the approximate sequence we recommend you follow.

Competition Puppy Obedience

Competition Puppy Obedience

This will be an on-going class, starting January 2020, for puppies trained by experienced trainers. We will work on a variety of skills for competition-bound pups, starting with skills from the Fundamentals class and advancing from there.

Prerequisites

Trainer has earned at least some kind of obedience title on at least one previous dog.

Thu 10:00-10:55 AM Jan 30 Jun 26 $110 Adele 20A15OBCPAM Filled
Notes: This class is intended for baby puppies or somewhat older puppies with little to no training, trained by experienced trainers interested in competition obedience. We will work on some of my usual curriculum (starting with exercises from Fundamentals) along with adding in more advanced skills, such as retrieving, go-outs, and beginning jumping skills that are age appropriate. It will be an on-going series. You may take up to 8 class weeks to use your 6 weeks of class fees, being aware you will be responsible for keeping up with the lesson plans.
There is a Facebook group called "NDT Thu Comp Puppy 2020" on which I will post class content each week and on which I will confirm whether or not class is happening.
We are going to be having work done on the rubber flooring in the Big Building. We are setting aside 7 weeks of dates in which to hold 6 weeks of classes, with the plan to close down for about a week just as soon as the materials are available for the work to get done. It is unlikely to be before the week of January 27, but we want to remain as flexible as possible.
There is also always the possibility of weather cancelations causing the addition of extra classes beyond the scheduled ending date. Please plan your schedule accordingly.

Rally Practice

Rally Practice

There will potentially be class every week Adele is in town. She will set up a nested course with levels appropriate for those in attendance for a given week. This is not an introductory type of course, but for those trainers with at least some rally experience who want a chance to practice courses with coaching. Typically, I follow each person through the course on the first run, offering suggestions for how to better perform a station (or more correctly). Because of the set up involved, I need a commitment each week from at LEAST 3 people for me to hold a class in a given week. In order to communicate with potential attendees, I have set up a Facebook group where we can communicate about attendance. If you are interested in attending and would like to be added to the Facebook group, or If you are not on Facebook but are interested in attending, please email me privately. abyunck@gmail.com

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the AKC rally signs at the level of course you are interested in.

Notes: There is class every week Adele is in town AND there are at least 3 people coming to class. Please pay Adele directly so she records your payment in her attendance chart.
You do not have to use the weeks consecutively, just please use them up within 6 months of the first class. Cost is $100 for 6 weeks, and $20 as a single-day drop in class.
Please check the Facebook group for class dates.
Depending on who is coming each week, I set up a Masters course at 5:15 PM and a nested course with all three levels if needed (Novice-Intermediate/Advanced-Excellent) at 6:30. This is not an introductory type of course, but for those trainers with at least some rally experience who want a chance to practice courses with coaching. I follow each person through the course on both run throughs, offering suggestions for how to better perform a station.
